Synopsis (Story)

The basic plot of story is that we show the life of a man undergoing certain problems with his family. Domestic violence, alcohol addiction.
It starts out as the little boy is playing with his mother in the local woods, she hands him a teddy bear. The teddy bear is critical to the story as its to be portrayed as a beam of light in a dark tunnel of this mans journey through his life.

The story is a timeline of his life showing different scenes at different ages of his life. Therefore starting as a toddler in the woods with his mother. It then goes onto show him at a later age rocking on his bed and through the light of the other room the shadow of his father hitting his mother is blown up big on his bedroom wall leaving the boy rocking on his bed holding his teddy bear with the utmost grip.

We then go onto show the next stage of his life a little down the line and show his mother drinking in a room surrounded by bottles and he comes in and attempts to take away the bottle of wine, leading to a game of tug of war with the bottle.

The next scene is when there is a storm outside and the mother and child are in the basement hiding from the father, our main character is protecting his mother when the first flash of light hits the room and you see that through silhouette and to the left of the screen stands the father taller than the other two characters. The screen darkens dramatically and we hear sounds of punching and other effects. Then the light hits again and our main character is on the floor and the father has his hand raised in the air as though he is going to strike. Then the scene darkens.

We then pan to the sky and as the camera lowers we see that our character is at church and his mother is being buried we snap to the scene of his mother being buried he drops to his knees holding the teddy bear which she gave him.

Now we are further down the line and he wakes up out of his bed and stumbles to the toilet and throws up, following this he stumbles down stairs sits on the couch and drinks and smokes drugs. The screen turns to black followed by white noise and we come out of the television set in 3D and there he is lying there and through cinematic shots of his eye, leg, hand moving or opening to show him waking up.

Now we are in his perspective he picks a bottle drinks and throws of screen, he then looks around the room and looks to the floor, he lifts his hands and rubs his face then looks up to see a closet. He walks along to the closet opens it up and sees the pile of bottles in the corner, he roots through the bottles to find his teddy bear. He holds up the teddy bear and brings it close to him and then we go to a close up shot of his eye and a tear falls concluding the story.
